Renton Fish & Game Club
7 stages, ~140 rounds
$15 match fee
Awards for overall placement
Modest prize table
Open to single stack 1911-style pistols. As in past years, this will be a non-denominational match, to attract both IDPA and USPSA shooters in the area. Targets and scoring will be based on IDPA, with Course of Fire rules borrowed from USPSA.
Average attendance the last three years has been ~50 shooters.
The Leatham-Enos scoring system allows IDPA and USPSA Single Stack to shoot head-to-head, so there will be one division competing for the single stack championship - utilizing either Single Stack or IDPA legal guns and gear - and other divisions for folks who just want the trigger time (bring your revo, Glocks, hi-caps, whatever, if you don't have a 1911).
Leatham-Enos scores points-down from a maximum hit value of five points, with a time penalty added for each point dropped, .5 second for minor and .3 second for major. Alpha=5, Charlie=4, Delta=2. So, if you shoot a 20-round stage in ten seconds, with fifteen alphas and five charlies (down five points), your score would be 12.5 seconds for minor, and 11.5 seconds for major. Procedural penalties also add time.
Competitors must be classified in either USPSA or IDPA (or get MD approval prior to match).
The match will generally be run like a regular club match, with shooters-meeting at 10:00. No pre-registration required. Awards and prizes after the match.
Ultimate Equipment has contributed two of their cool M1911 folding knives, and Check-Mate Industries has donated some of their latest 8-round .45 mags for the prize table.
